  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the hot coffee until the batter is smooth.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
