Delicious South African Fruit Cake Recipe

Sift the self-raising flour, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon into a bowl and set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the butter, milk and mixed dried fruit, and beat until well combined.
Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Then stir in the chopped glace cherries and walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
