Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1¼ cups vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup hot coffee
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, buttermilk, coffee and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before frosting.
