  • 1–2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • For the decoration:
  • Lemon zest
  • Fresh blueberries

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the lemon zest and beat until combined.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the sour cream, vanilla, and lemon juice and beat until combined.
  5. Add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the 1 cup of blueberries and the 2 tablespoons of flour until all the berries are lightly coated.
