The traditional King Cake is made using a sweet dough, filled with a variety of delicious flavors, and topped with icing and sprinkles. But, if you’re looking for a simpler way to make a King Cake, you can’t go wrong with this easy King Cake recipe that uses crescent rolls.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of butter melted
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and set aside.

Step 2: Unroll the crescent rolls and place them in the pan, pressing the dough to the sides and corners.

Step 3: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture over the dough.

Step 4: Drizzle the melted butter over the dough and sugar mixture.

Step 5: Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 6: Remove from the oven and let cool.

Step 7: In a medium bowl mix together the confectioners’ sugar, milk and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 8: Drizzle the icing over the cake.

Step 9: Sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles.

Step 10: Slice and serve. Enjoy!
